Honeywell 5816OD Product Description:
The Honeywell 5816OD is a wireless outdoor sensor that brings the convenience of wireless technology to the outdoors. The robust 5816OD is a weatherproof, waterresistant outdoor wireless transmitter that provides excellent detection and performance in extreme temperatures. It operates in temperatures from -40°F to 150°F (-40°C to +66°C), (100&per; RH).
The 5816OD also contains two unique zones. The first loop is a normally closed circuit contact that can have external devices wired directly to it. The second loop is a built-in magnetic reed switch that can be used to protect gates, sheds, detached garages or any other outdoor area with an exit/entry point. Either or both zones may be used. A built-in tamper switch is activated when the cover is removed, or if the sensor is detached from its mounting.
It is also an ideal way to protect outdoor equipment when using outdoor rated magnetic pull apart contacts. With its dark gray housing, the 5816OD blends well with most outdoor surroundings and can be custom-painted* to match its mounting surface. It is great for sheds, barns, garages, pool gates, fences, and rural mailbox. The 5816OD is a great addition to any other compatible Honeywell security system. Use the included double sided tape to mount the transmitter on the door or window frame, and the magnet on the door or window. If the contacted door or window is opened while the system is armed, it will set off the alarm and send a signal to the GeoArm Central Station.
The battery and the magnet are included when you buy the 5816OD. This transmitter operates on a 7-digit serial number and a loop number that must be programmed into a wireless zone in the control. When it senses a fault condition, it will send a fault signal to the control. The unit will not send the restore signal until the physical contact is restored.

This is hands down the best solution to protect your shed from a thief stealing your outdoor power tools. As expected I am very satisfied with the quality of this product from Honeywell. The entire alarm is well designed and very user friendly.Great product would highly recommend it

I absolutely love this product, it was incredibly simple to set up and works very well, The sensors are powerful, it has been extremely reliable so far and the signal strength is very good, I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a door alerting system.
