WD500Z5-1 Product Description:
The WD500Z5-1 is a smart wall-mount dimmer switch designed to be used with the 2GIG Go!Control panels. Create the ideal lighting environment with the Smart Dimmer Switch. With 100 step dimming this switch can set the ideal lighting scene from romantic low light to full brightness for emergency situations.
The WD500Z5-1 wall-mounted dimmer allows remote ON/OFF control and dimming of connected lights. The Z-Wave wall-mount dimmer is easily wired in place of a standard wall dimmer. This device requires a Neutral connection. The wall-mounted dimmer integrates with other Nortek Security & Control Z-Wave enabled products, and can also act as a wireless repeater to ensure that commands intended for another device in the network are received (useful when a device would otherwise be out of radio range).
The WD500Z5-1 wall-mount switch has a field replaceable trim ring - the color of the device can be altered with the trim ring kit model in black, brown, almond and ivory. Unique to Nortek Security & Control, the Auto-Sense feature allows for local lamp activation independent of the Z-Wave controller status.

- Add or Remove the GoControl Dimmer
- Assign the GoControl Dimmer to a specific Group/Scene and/or to include the load as part of ALL ON or ALL OFF system commands
- Over-the-air firmware update by the gateway or static Controller
- Lifeline function which automatically notifies the associated modules and the network that a manually reset device is no longer in the network, thus, the corresponding association becomes invalid
Note to Installers: When installing a Z-Wave 3-Way Light setup utilizing Nortek Security & Control products, you will need a Load Bearing switch (WS15Z-1, WD500Z-1 or WD1000Z-1) and a non-load bearing WT00Z-1. Multiple WT00Z-1 switches can be utilized to control multiple Load Bearing devices. Please refer to this technical bulletin.

I am very impressed with this switch. They are very simple to install. It is simple to pair the light switch remotes. It is simple to set up and configure the smart bridge. I give GoControl an A+ for the ease of installing these lights.

The switch is better than I expected honestly and may have convinced me that this brand is the way I'll go.And good thing you can set the dimming to the level you want then turning it down. And the installation was quiet easy.
